Sport Routes is officially launching: the Associazione di Promozione Sociale (Social Promotion Association) positioned as the reference point for the entire Italian sports tourism ecosystem.

Sports tourism is today one of the most significant levers for economic and territorial development worldwide, and Italy holds a wealth of excellence — in sports, landscapes, culture and enterprise — that remains largely underutilized. What has been missing is a structured entity capable of systematically connecting businesses, territories, sport and tourism.

This is the gap that Sport Routes is set to fill.

Our mission is to protect, represent and enhance the entire Italian sports tourism ecosystem, acting as an active reference point for businesses, territories and institutions. We do this along four main directions: promoting sports tourism as a strategic national asset, supporting the growth of the sport-tourism-territory supply chain, promoting Made in Italy in the sector internationally, and engaging in institutional dialogue within Italian and European decision-making contexts.

Our model is built on principles that guide every choice we make: enhancing local territories, sustainability, inclusion, wellbeing, social impact, and a non-profit approach. Every resource generated is reinvested in the development of the ecosystem and its members.

Sport Routes is not an event, nor a trade fair: it is a permanent, scalable model designed to generate real connections, business opportunities and lasting impact on local territories.

Over the coming months, we will gradually present the association’s different areas of activity, ongoing projects, and opportunities for businesses, territories and institutions wishing to become part of this ecosystem.

The journey has just begun. We invite you to follow us, and if you share this vision, to talk to us: Italian sports tourism needs someone to represent it, and that is exactly why Sport Routes was created.
